The city of Tallahassee issued the following news release:
Impacts from Tropical Storm Fay have diminished for most Tallahassee residents, but impacts to local infrastructure from the August storm are taking much longer to remedy. Underground Utilities staff today announced that in order to best protect the environment and public health, construction plans at the City's wastewater plants will be altered, but will not impact the timeline on reaching nitrate reduction in treated wastewater as is required by the permit granted by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP).
