Article: Kentucky Inventors Develop Ink Cartridge Venting System

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- James Daniel Anderson Jr. of Harrodsburg, Ky., Trevor Daniel Gray of Midway, Ky., and David Emerson Greer of Lexington, Ky., have developed a method for venting inkjet ink cartridges.

According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An ink cartridge comprising: an ink cartridge body including a floor and an exterior wall partially defining an interior volume, the ink cartridge body including a capillary producing medium; and an ink cartridge cap mounted to the ink cartridge body to substantially enclose the interior volume, the ink cartridge cap including two vents in direct communication with the interior volume, wherein a first ...
