Article: UNIVERSITY OF AKRON EXTENDS GLOBAL OUTREACH WITH CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE

University of Akron issued the following news release:

The University of Akron is ushering in a new era of international cooperation and access as it opens its Confucius Institute on Nov. 17, in partnership with China's Henan University. Through the institute, Akron-area residents will receive Mandarin Chinese-language instruction and Chinese-culture enrichment on the UA campus, at various locations in the community and via distance learning beginning in spring 2009. UA's Confucius Institute is funded by the Chinese Ministry of Education.
