Article: WIPO: Inventor in Italy Develops Electromechanical Actuator Device

GENEVA, Nov. 10 - Leo Querio of Torino, Italy, has developed an electromechanical actuator device.

According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention relates to the "device comprises a housing in which an electric motor is secured, the shaft of this motor being coupled to a rotary control member having on one surface a cam profile cooperating with a coordinated profile of a controlled member which may move in translation in the housing such that when the motor is actuated, the rotation of the rotary control member is adapted to cause the controlled member to move in translation into a first position remote from the control member "
