Article: WIPO: Inventor in Pennsylvania Develops Stereo Sound Field Expansion System

GENEVA, Nov. 10 - James Albert of Honesdale, Pa., has developed a method for stereo sound field expansion.

According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention provides a "system and method for enhancing the stereo sound effect produced by speaker systems having two or more speakers fed by two or more channels or audio, respectively."

The invention carries International Patent Publication No. WO/2008/086267 on Sept. 25.

The patent has been assigned to Altec Lansing, a Division of Plantronics Inc., Milford, Pa.
