The American Association of School Administrators issued the following news release:

School districts in every region of the country are feeling the impact of the economic downturn, according to the "AASA Study of the Impact of the Economic Downturn on Schools," released today by the American Association of School Administrators. The study, based on a survey of school superintendents conducted in October 2008, finds that belt-tightening measures are already underway in districts nationwide in response to shrinking budgets.
