Two women developed ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) associated with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy after the use of recombinant follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and menotropin during in vitro fertilisation (IVF) [times to reaction onsets not clearly stated].
Patient 1, a 32-year-old woman with a history of oligoovulation, underwent ovarian stimulation with recombinant FSH 75IU and menotropin 75IU for 9 days [frequency not stated]. She began receiving 'baby' aspirin concomitantly. Following maturation, the oocytes were harvested and she started vaginal progesterone supplements.
