Jacksonville University issued the following news release:
Alex Boylan '99, winner of CBS's "Amazing Race II" and executive producer and host of Around the World for Free (ATWFF) will receive Jacksonville University's 2008 Scott Amos Recent Alumni Award of Distinction at halftime during the JU football game on Thursday, October 9 at The Bolles School in Jacksonville.
In addition, Boylan will be the guest-speaker on October 9 at noon in Gooding Auditorium on campus, where he will talk about his life after winning "The Amazing Race" and the things he carried around the world for free.
