The office of the Prime Minister issued the following news release:
Prime Minister Ansip met today with NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer for a discussion of the security situation that has evolved in the Euro-Atlantic region. The Prime Minister stressed that NATO is an organisation protecting democracy, whose strength is based on the shared values of its member countries.
"NATO has always looked out for democratic values, and I am delighted that Estonia is a member of this strong organisation," the Prime Minister said.
