A 56-year-old man developed collagenous colitis during treatment with oral lansoprazole [duration of treatment before reaction not clearly stated].

The man had been treated with lansoprazole for gastrooesophageal reflux for 4 months; initially lansoprazole was started at a dosage of 40 mg/day then was subsequently increased to 40mg twice daily.
