Article: CRIMINAL JUSTICE STUDIES MAJOR APPROVED

University of Southern Indiana issued the following news release:

The Indiana Commission for Higher Education has approved a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice studies program to be offered at the University of Southern Indiana. The first degrees in the major will be conferred in spring 2009.

According to a 2007 report by the Indiana Workforce Development Agency, job opportunities in criminal justice fields will grow by 10 to 18 percent over the next 10 years, which translates into over 2,000 criminal justice-related positions in southwestern Indiana alone.
