Article: WIPO: Inventors in Italy Develops Under-Wing Pylon

GENEVA, Nov. 17 - Francesco Staropoli of Reano, Italy, and Marco Basaglia of Olgiate Olona, Italy, have developed an under-wing pylon.

According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention relates to an "under-wing pylon for an aircraft comprising on the upper side means for attaching to the fuselage or to the wings of the aircraft itself, means for connecting the pylon to the aircraft adapted to provide special interfaces of the installed systems, said pylon having an extended shape."

The invention carries International Patent Publication No. WO/2008/117174 on Oct. 2.
