Article: TRUSTEES GET FIRST GLIMPSE OF PROPOSED RESIDENCE HALL FOR UAHUNTSVILLE CAMPUS

The University of Alabama at Huntsville issued the following news release:

The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees got their first glimpse of a proposed residence hall for The University of Alabama in Huntsville campus.

UAHuntsville officials sought approval from the board to build a 600- to 700-bed residence hall that would include a dining facility. Today's action is the first step in an approval process before construction can begin.

The projected cost of the new building is expected to be approximately $48 million.

The residence hall is part of the five-year facilities development plan for the university and is a long-range project in the 2004 campus master plan, according to ...
