ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 19 -- Douglas P. Marquis of Vero Beach, Fla., has developed an ornamental design for a food preportioning bag, the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office announced.

The inventor was issued U.S. Patent No. D580,781 on Nov. 18.

The patent has been assigned to Handgards Inc., El Paso, Texas.
