Article: Follitropin-[alpha]/menotropin: Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome and elevated liver enzymes: case report

A 39-year-old woman developed ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome and elevated liver enzymes after ovulation induction with follitropin-a [Gonalef] and menotropin [Menopur].

The woman had a history of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, but had normal liver enzymes. Ten days after undergoing ovulation induction with follitropin-a and menotropin [dosages and durations of therapies not stated], she presented with dehydration, decreased urine output, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, pedal oedema and weight gain.
