Bowie State University issued the following news release:

Bowie State University has a new women's basketball coach, Donna Polk. She has served the past three years as the associate athletic director for operations/compliance at the University. "Ms. Polk has a tremendous asset in many facets of our department," said Derek Carter, Bowie State's athletic director. "This opportunity will allow her to further demonstrate her knowledge and skills as a women's basketball coach."

The new coach commented, "I am excited to get back on the sidelines and look forward to guiding our young ladies to be successful on and off the court. We have a good group of players returning and several new additions ...
