Guwahati Nov. 27 -- Change is the only truth in Nature. Rest, half truth or no truth. When global warming is very much around, global cooling cannot be far behind.
Everything in Nature works in cycles - one glacial period alternates with another interglacial (warming) period. The current interglacial warming is one of post Pleistocene, some 600,000 years now. Pleistocene being the most recent glacial period, i.e., the last 1-2 million years including Recent or Holocene (10,000 years ago) and coinciding with man's appearance.
