Texas Inventors Develop Paraffin Alkylation Process
ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- Lawrence A. Smith Jr. of Houston, and William M. Cross Jr. of Pasadena, Texas, have developed a alkylation process for paraffin.
According to a description of the invention, released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to the alkylation of paraffinic hydrocarbon feed stocks wherein an olefin is reacted with isobutane to produce an alkylate product. More particularly the invention relates to a process wherein an intermediate debutanizer is utilized between ...
