Washington Inventors Develop Aluminum Rivet Sol-Gel Test
ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 17 -- Terry C. Tomt of Enumclaw, Wash., Bruce R. Davis of Seattle, Steven R. Jones of Sumner, Wash., and Richard G. Wire of Bonney Lake, Wash., have developed a method for testing coating presence.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for testing for the presence of sol-gel on an aluminum test specimen includes: preparing an ammonium molybdate solution; preparing a hydrochloric acid solution; and mixing the solutions in 2:1 ratio in each of ...
