ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 24 -- The following federal patents were awarded to inventors in Wisconsin.

WIPO: Inventors in Wisconsin Develop Somatic Cell Reprogramming Method
GENEVA, Nov. 24 - James Thompson of Madison, Wis., and Junying Yu of Middleton, Wis., have developed a methods for reprogramming a somatic cell.
According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention relates to "methods for reprogramming a somatic cell to pluripotency by administering into the somatic cell at least one or a plurality of potency- determining factors."
The patent has been assigned to Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, Madison.
