Article: WIPO: Inventors in California Develop Universal Serial Bus Device

GENEVA, Dec. 1 - Thomas Paulos and Brian Shamie, both of Los Angeles, have developed a universal serial bus device.

According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention refers a "universal serial bus (USB) device for receiving data from other data transmitting devices. The inventive USB device comprises a printed circuit board having a microprocessor and memory, a USB controller connected to the microprocessor, a USB connector connected to the printed circuit board, and wireless receiving means connected to the printer circuit board for receiving external data to be stored in the memory."
