ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 8 -- Michael J. Sitarz of Dartmouth, Mass., Thomas P. Kefor of Norton, Mass., and Lewis M. Coco of Horshoe Bay, Texas, have developed a venetian blind tape. The patent has been assigned to Julius Koch USA Inc., New Bedford, Mass.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A Venetian blind tape that includes face and rear bands, each of a textile material woven from a loom. A plurality of cross-band members are inter-woven between the face and rear bands and are spacedly disposed along the bands to form supports for blind slats. At least the face band has a discernable decorative pattern woven into it by means of a Jacquard weaving ...
