Article: DELAWARE FINISHES SECOND IN CAA BLOOD CHALLENGE

The University of Delaware issued the following news release:

The University of Delaware finished second to Drexel University in the annual Colonial Athletic Association Blood Challenge, as the event broke records for both donors and productive units of blood.

The CAA Blood Challenge had 3,472 actual donors and 3,632 productive units of blood collected on the 12 conference campuses.

That is a 6.9 percent increase in the amount of blood collected from last year's challenge and is more than triple the amount that was collected during the inaugural campaign just seven years ago.

The CAA Blood Challenge has resulted in 17,728 productive units of blood since it began in 2002.
