Article: WINTER WEATHER AWARENESS IN CONCORD

The city of Concord issued the following press release:

During the coming weeks we will cover a different topic to raise awareness for the winter weather season. November 2008 was the coldest average temperatures in 30 years in the Charlotte Metro area.

The average temperature was 46.6F making this past November the coldest since 44.1F was recorded in 1976. November 2008 was the 5th coldest November ever. The 2008/2009 winter outlook (December through February) calls for an equal chance of a warmer or cooler than normal winter but with a continuation of drier than normal conditions across the Southeast.
