ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 15 -- Bruce R. Tremblay of Minot, Maine, and Kevin L. McLoughlin of Auburn, Maine, have developed cathodes for fluorescent lamp.
The patent has been assigned to Elmet Technologies, Inc., Lewiston, Maine.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method of making cathodes includes forming a first intermediate assembly having a current wire in juxtaposition with an outer mandrel wire and a basket wire wound around the first two wires. The first intermediate assembly is wound around a central mandrel to form a second intermediate assembly.
