Article: WIPO: Inventors in Germany, Austria Develop Test Rig Environment Simulation Method

GENEVA, Dec. 18 - Gerbert Orasche, and Hermann Schinagl, both of Austria, and Alexander Pressl of Germany, have developed a method for simulating a test rig environment.

The patent has been assigned to Avl List Gmbh, Graz, Austria.

According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention aims to be able to easily simulate a "(real-time) test rig environment, the invention proposes implementing the test rig environment hardware in the form of a virtual PC on a simulation PC, extending the system time of the virtual PC by a factor which corresponds to a multiple of the time base of the simulation PC, and operating the real test rig software on the virtual ...
