Zhuji Paper Mill has commissioned an alkaline recovery boiler system supplied by China Energy Recovery at its paper mill in Shaoguan city, Guangdong province. The investment was aimed at reducing residual black liquor in the pulp-making process.

The plant operates three paper machines, using bamboo pulp to produce uncoated printing/writing paper and kraft paper, with a total capacity of 30,000 tonnes/yr.

The Taiwanese firm Long Chen Paper is gearing up to bring online three recycled containerboard machines at its two mills in China by early 2009.
