Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 19 -- (IANS) He has been a controversial bureaucrat as well as a legislator in real life. But now K.J. Alphonse Kannanthanam is all set to be Kerala chief minister - on screen!

"After seeing how the government works, first as a bureaucrat and now as a legislator, I am supremely confident I can take on the role with ease," Alphonse told IANS. He will be acting in the movie "Koodaram".

Alphonse, now in his mid-50s, had shot to fame in 1992-97 when as Delhi Development Authority commissioner he bulldozed a number of illegal constructions in the Indian capital.
