Article: RENO FIREFIGHTERS, POLICE OFFICERS TO HOST CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR CHILDREN IN TRANSITION

The city of Reno issued the following news release:

The downtown Reno Ballroom will be a center of creative Christmas activities for a group of downtown children from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, as current and retired Reno firefighters and police officers, their families and other volunteers gather to hold the firefighters' annual Christmas holiday party for children in transition.

The annual Children's Christmas Party is held for children pre-selected by the Washoe County School District, the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Program and Pathfinders Ministry, who are primarily from Reno's downtown core area.
