Along the Upper Valley, and as far west as Montpelier and Barre, those in the know shop for their outdoor clothing and shoes at Farmway in Bradford. While it's a 30-plus mile drive here from the Capitol City, the shopping experience is worth the drive.
"We describe ourselves as complete outfitters for man and beast with furniture and gifts," says company president Carol Metayer.
"We succeed because we have such a diverse business and product base." It's also a fun store and men can feel comfortable as well as women. While the wife shops the husband can linger in the hunting and camping departments or simply zone out on one of the recliners in the store.
