The city of Reno issued the following news release:
Captain Dana Tucker, a 20 year veteran of the Reno Fire Department, has been promoted to battalion chief, Reno Fire Chief Paul Wagner announced today.
Tucker joined the Reno Fire Department in 1988 after four years with the Ebbetts Pass Fire District in Arnold, California where he gained experience in structure, timber and other wildland fire suppression.
Tucker served as a Reno firefighter until his promotion to captain in 1996. He was a member of the Reno Fire Department's Hazardous Materials Response Team from 1988-1997 and the Technical Rescue Team from 1990-2001.
