Virginia Military Institute issued the following news release:

The Virginia Military Institute Foundation has begun a national search to find a replacement for James L. Adams '71, the foundation's executive vice president. Adams announced earlier this year that he will retire on June 30 after 11 years as the person responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Foundation.

The Foundation board of trustees has changed the title of the position to chief executive officer to more accurate reflect the responsibilities of the Foundation as an institution and the demanding duties of the person who leads its daily operations.
