Upfront Chromatography A/S has launched MabDirect MM Fixed-D 50mL, a disposable chromatographic column based on the Upfront's Expanded Bed Adsorption (EBA) platform, Rhobust. The prepacked, presanitized antibody purification columns eliminate the need for prefiltration steps required by conventional columns, with the added benefits of costeffectiveness and flexibility associated with disposable chromatography. The column units are stable to 1M NaOH solution. The single-use columns can be constructed from plastic because the design of the columns eliminates the generation of pressure during operation.
