Dana E. Knox, Professor of Chemical Engineering and Associate Provost for Undergraduate Programs at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), died suddenly on Sept. 24, 2008. An active AIChE member, he was currently serving as co-advisor of the NJIT Student Chapter, and often organized and chaired sessions at national meetings.
Born in upstate New York, Knox earned BS (1977), MS (1978) and PhD (1982) degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He began his career on the faculty at NJlT in 1 983, and joined the Provost's Office in 2004.
Knox was an expert in thermodynamics of fluids and fluid mixtures, and a widely published researcher. In 2002, he received the Franzosini Award from ...
