The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards issued the following news release:

The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) held a hearing on Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) in Arlington, VA, on October 31. The one-day hearing provided an opportunity for experts to comment on the specific influences and considerations of the IPD process and the BIM technology related to responsible control by the architect.

"NCARB is taking a leadership role to ensure that the public is protected by any impact IPD and BIM may have on the profession," said NCARB President Gordon E. Mills, FAIA.
