The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency issued the following press release:
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.
With winter rapidly approaching, every family should be prepared to face another period of dangerous winter storms and flooding. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) urges all residents to be prepared.
"We see time and time again that people who are prepared for emergencies are able to recover more quickly," said Federal Coordinating Officer Tom Hall, in charge of federal disaster recovery efforts in Missouri for FEMA."
State Coordinating Officer Ronald M. Reynolds stressed, "No amount of pre-disaster planning works if you don't work the plan."
