The Louisiana Department of Education issued the following press release:

According to a report issued by the Louisiana Department of Education today, more than 65 percent of the students who enter 9th grade in high schools across Louisiana are earning a diploma in the traditional four-year time frame. That figure, the Cohort Graduation Rate, which is based on the number of students who enter the ninth grade and graduate four years later, is one of several calculations states are required to report as part of the federal No Child Left Behind act.
