Article: IWO JIMA SAILORS REGISTER WITH NATIONAL BONE MARROW DONOR PROGRAM

The U.S. Navy issued the following press release:

Sailors aboard multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) registered for the National Marrow Donor Program through the ship's medical department Dec. 31.

Sailors took part in the initial step, which consisted of gathering data to be placed in the National Marrow Donor Program's registry. The registry will contain the Sailor's blood type and contact information.
