The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment issued the following news release:
State health officials today announced Peanut Corporation of America, a peanut processing company that makes peanut butter for bulk distribution to institutions, food service industries and private label food companies, is voluntarily recalling peanut butter produced in its Blakely, Ga., processing facility because of possible contamination with Salmonella. None of the peanut butter being recalled is sold directly to consumers through retail stores.
