WASHINGTON, Jan. 15 - Freshman Rep. Tom Rooney, R-Fla., raised $1,586,949 toward his election campaign last year and spent $1,597,173, OpenSecrets.org reported. Rooney has $3,636 cash on hand and $69,675 in debt based on his latest Federal Election Commission report (Nov. 24).

The Center for Responsive Politics reported that Rooney's top contributors were:
