CIPS EXCELLENCE AWARD
Continuous professional development is key to success in purchasing, according to Suki Kwan, winner of the 'Purchasing and Merchandising Professional of the Year 2008' at the South China Morning Post (SCMP)/CIPS awards for excellence. She emphasised the importance of good market and product knowledge, as well as the need to be proactive. She advised that those considering entering the profession needed good communication skills and not to be afraid of hard work.
