Keene State College issued the following news release:

The thrilling sounds of New Orleans street music will be rocking the walls of Keene State College's Redfern Arts Center on Brickyard Pond when the Hot 8 Brass Band performs Wednesday, February 11, at 7:30 p.m. The Hot 8 plays the traditional Second Line parades, hosted each Sunday afternoon in the Big Easy by the Social Aid and Pleasure Clubs, infusing their performances with the funk and energy that makes New Orleans music loved around the world.

In addition to their performance, the Hot 8 will lead a lecture/demonstration in the Redfern on the music of the Second Line bands on February 11 at 2 p.m. This event is free and open to the ...
