Article: Gov. Patrick Signs Landmark Collaborative Drug Therapy Management Bill Into Law

Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences issued the following news release:

On Thursday, January 15, Governor Deval Patrick signed into law a landmark Collaborative Drug Therapy Management (CDTM) bill, making Massachusetts the 44th state to adopt the practice. States that already allow CDTM have benefited from increased patient safety and health, as well as reductions in medication errors and general health care costs. Many patients enrolled in CDTM programs across the country have also been noted as requiring fewer emergency room visits, and have improved in general health.
