PLAYWRIGHT AND former Casualty actor Kwame Kwei Armah says his mission to uncover the true history of Christianity in Africa has led him to see the faith in a whole new light, writes Lester Holloway.
In a new Channel 4 documentary, Armah visits one of the earliest churches in the world and discovers that Christianity did not arrive with European missionaries and colonialists, but dated way back to Old Testament times.
He also inspects an ancient Ethiopian Bible that contains books which Western scholar s did not know about until the last century.
