GUWAHATI, Jan 30 -- Development of cold water aquaculture in parts of North East India could yield positive results in several fronts, contributing to overall welfare of stakeholders.

Apart from becoming a sustainable livelihood, rearing cold water fish could facilitate better utilization of land and water resources. It could fulfill the nutritional requirement of local communities, and even help towards development of eco-tourism.
