The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture issued the following newsletter:
Key democrats on the House Energy and Commerce Committee introduced major food safety legislation (H.R. 759) on January 28 which would overhaul the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The Food and Drug Administration Globalization Act proposes a number of new requirements and oversight for the food industry.
H.R. 759 was introduced by Reps. John Dingell (D-MI), Subcommittee on Health Chairman Frank Pallone (D-NJ) and Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations Chairman Bart Stupak (D-MI). They introduced a similar legislation last year and held a series of hearings. H.R. 759 includes new ...
