The city of Raleigh issued the following news release:
The Raleigh City Council decided today to refer to the City's Arts Commission a resolution establishing an interim percent-for-art program. The Arts Commission will review the proposal and provide comments to the full council.
Under the proposed resolution, the City would allocate half of one percent of expenditures for capital improvement projects (public buildings, parks, and streetscapes) to the creation and development of public art. This funding ...
