Article: Rep. Berry Introduces Medicare Prescription Drug Savings and Choice Act

WASHINGTON, Feb. 7 -- Rep. Marion Berry, D-Arkansas, has introduced the Medicare Prescription Drug Savings and Choice Act of 2009 (H.R. 684), legislation that would "amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to deliver a meaningful benefit and lower prescription drug prices under the Medicare Program."

The bill, introduced on Jan. 26, has 13 co-sponsors. It was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee and House Ways and Means Committee.
