Article: IBERDROLA RENOVABLES Increases Installed Capacity By 2,204 MW In 2008

Iberdrola issued the following news release:

IBERDROLA RENOVABLES increased installed capacity by 2.204 MW (31%) in 2008 to 9,302 megawatts (MW), of which 8,960 MW (96.3% of the total) corresponds to wind farms and 342 MW to mini-hydro power stations.

In Spain, total installed capacity amounted to 4,868 MW, of which 4,526 MW is at wind farms. The IBERDROLA RENOVABLES production network in Spain, which is spread over 13 different regions, saw a 297 MW increase over 2008. Installed capacity closed the year as follows: 1,930 MW in Castilla-La Mancha; 980 MW in Castilla-Leon; 625 MW in Galicia; 448 MW in Andalucia; 278 MW in Aragon; 248 MW in La Rioja; 154 MW in País Vasco; 76 MW in Murcia; 56 ...
