Article: Wheat King rookies move into regular roles

It's a fact of life in hockey that one player's misfortune often goes hand in hand with another's opportunity.

Case in point: Scott Glennie's broken elbow paved the way for Mark Stone to step into Glennie's spot with Matt Calvert and Brayden Schenn, forming one of the hottest lines in the Western Hockey League, as the trio combined for 25 points in three games last week.

But long-term injuries to veterans Glennie and Sanfred King, who is out for the season with a broken leg, have caused a ripple effect throughout the Brandon Wheat Kings' lineup, creating room for more of the club's young players to make their mark down the stretch.
